Palliative Care

Across Saskatchewan, pediatric palliative care teams provide support to children and their families when a child has a life-limiting condition or is nearing end of life. This is an incredibly difficult time for children and their families, and our team of care providers is here to help.

Each pediatric palliative care team is slightly different, depending on the community you’re living in and the needs of the child and family. Your team might consist of: 

  • Doctors
  • Nurses
  • Social workers
  • Occupational therapist
  • Home care team

Your child’s doctor will work with you to decide when the time is right to access the palliative care program. End-of-life care may be provided in a health-care facility or in your home, depending on what is right for you and your child.
