Audiology

Hearing health is a vital piece of a child’s growth and development.

Our audiologists work in Hearing Health Services and are responsible for testing a child’s hearing and provide treatment and prevention of hearing loss.

Our team’s services are available at the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital (JPCH) in Saskatoon and other locations in Saskatoon and Regina. We provide services to Saskatchewan children ages 0-18 (ages 16 and under in JPCH). Our audiologists are able to prescribe and fit hearing aids and other assistive listening devices for children with reduced hearing. We also provide assessments to determine if a child is eligible for cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing devices. We provide follow-up care for children who use these devices.

Some children may be seen by an audiologist while they are a patient at the hospital, but most children are seen through outpatient (non-overnight) clinics by appointment.

Referral Information

No referral is needed to access our services. Families and caregivers can contact our office directly at 306-655-1320 with any questions or to request an appointment.
