Home Care

Some children and families need a bit of extra assistance in order to live comfortably at home. Home Care provides services to help ease some difficulties of living at home with certain health conditions or recovering from illness or surgery.

Home care provides health-care services to help support your child at home. This may include:

  • Nursing care for medication management
  • Intravenous (IV) therapy
  • Management of airway devices, like ventilators
  • Bathing, toileting and dressing
  • Home assessment to determine what equipment you may need

To find out what home care services may be available for your child, contact your local home care office. A coordinator will assess your child to determine their needs.

For families living in Regina, home care can be reached directly at 306-766-7334. Families in Saskatoon can call 306-655-4346 for questions about home care. For families in other cities or rural communities, ask your doctor about home care information.

Referral Information

Some nursing services, like medication management, require a doctor’s referral. Other services, like personal care, can be requested directly by you without a doctor’s referral.
