An exercise therapist works in consultation with a physiotherapist to assess your child and create an exercise plan which includes:
- Finding activities that your child enjoys and wants to be a part of
- Planning a set of exercises for your child. This might include individual exercise or exercise in a group
- showing your child how to properly do the exercises
- making any changes as they are needed
- checking in to make sure that the exercises are working for you and your child
- showing ways to make sure that your child can get the exercises done at home, in the school, or community
- encouraging your whole family to take part in the fitness activities
